I finally hit one of my long-term goals by finishing the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon in 3:56:32!
I originally set the goal of doing a 4 hour marathon in my 2014 New Year’s Resolution Post! In that span MapMyRun has me running 4,818.06 miles of training runs including 760 since I started training for this race back in March. That means I spent roughly 33.5 DAYS running since setting that goal. If feels awfully good to finally check this one off the list.
If you’re wondering, the Whisky is a 1977 Port Ellen that I bought in 2014 to celebrate running a 4 hour marathon. Of course, back then I thought I was going to achieve the feat IN 2014. It turns out that I actually visited Port Ellen in 2016 before I got the chance to sample the whisky.
