Welcome to JonathanCavell.com!
JonathanCavell.com launched on January 1, 2010 as a way for me (Jonathan Cavell) to keep a "home base" across the variety of projects, companies, blogs, social networks and educational institutions that I participate in. As of right now, the website has 6 main sections, which you can find in links across the top:
1. Blog of Burgher Jon – This is my blog. I’ve been blogging since 2007 about Pittsburgh, technology and whatever happened to float my boat. I’m very excited about the blog’s new home on JonathanCavell.com (I was originally an anonymous blogger) and I hope you take the time to check it out.
2. My Twitter Feed – I am an active user of Twitter. I use it to highlight news articles, websites or thoughts that strike me, but that I don’t want to write an entire blog about. If you’re not a Twitter user, you can check back to the Twitter Feed link on this blog to see what I have been Tweeting about.
3. Elsewhere on the Web – This is an index you can use to find the organizations and social networks I’m affiliated with. You can become my friend on Facebook or read about my current company.
4. CV ./ Resume – This is my resume. For obvious reasons I’ve omitted my address and telephone number, but you should be able to get a background on my professional career from it.
5. Biography – This is a bit of biographical information on me. In case you want to learn about things about me that might be a bit more historical then my latest blogs and twitter posts and a bit more personal then the resume.
6. Site Platform – This page briefly covers the technologies used to build this site. I haven’t been an active web developer in years (which probably shows), so most of what you see here is provided by a platform of some sort.
