Learning From Others

I don’t often just post other people’s work on this blog.  I mostly use my Twitter feed and Sauerkraut Sundays as a way to pass on other people’s work, but as I went through my news feed last night I couldn’t help but be impressed with two well written, well thought out posts.

The first is from Chris Dixon and concerns his companies efforts to sell B2B.  Chris has had a lot of experience founding/running/investing in B2C companies and what he learned when his latest company (Hunch) pitched several hundred potential partners is interesting.  He relates it to the Goldilocks Principle.

The second is from Christina Cacioppo.  Christina has been working for Union Square Ventures for the last few months and, in the process, has been pitched by a bunch of different companies at demo days.  She has walked away with two important trends that she believes apply to the market as a whole.
